Which professional tube paint colors shall I buy when I'm ready to advance to professional watercolor paints? Here is a list of professional watercolor tube paints that I like very much. They have similar hues to the colors you are used to painting with when you've used the paintbox in your beginning kit. These tube watercolors can be purchased at most art supply stores. Grumbacher: Alizarin Crimson Chinese White Ultramarine Blue Sap Green Hookers Green Cadmium Yellow, light Raw Umber Burnt Sienna Cadmium Red, medium Cadmium Orange Payne's Gray I prefer Grumbacher brand. The hues are more natural for nature's colors. If you like BRIGHT, try Winsor and Newton brand. The colors are more intense and you will work at toning them down at times. Your preferences should dictate the colors you paint with, by all means! |
