Here are photos of an actual keel-billed toucan, the kind of toucan that Kandu is! It's fun to see the many colors in its remarkable bill and feathers. These toucans live in small groups in the Amazon rain forest. They prefer the upper branches of the forest canopy. They eat berries and insects. Their wings are not strong, so they are not good flyers, and will hop around on their blue 4-toed feet. Two toes face front, and two face backward. Click on photo to enlarge. |
